MY LIFE IN 2008

JANUARY
The beginning of a challenging new year 2008. I started the 4th semester of the International Business major in my college CESUES.
FEBRUARY
What I remember the most from this month is Valentine's Day. I had a great time and received a lot of gifts and candies from my friends. Later at night, I had sushi with some of my friends. I personally don't really like sushi but spending time with my friends is the best and everything else didn’t matter.
MARCH
I loved this month because I had a wonderful time. I went on a little vacation and relaxed at the beach away from the stress. I went to Puerto Peñasco and it was amazing
APRIL
This wasn't really a good month. I spent most of it being sick so therefore I didn't do much because I had to stay in bed for many days.
MAY
I finished the 4th semester during this month. It was a bit of a rough month because we had so many projects to do and it was a little stressful, but it all turned out great. Finally I enjoyed my summer vacations which started on may 10th, on mother's day. My family and I prepared a special meal for my mom on her special day.
JUNE
This was a very relaxing month because I was on vacations from school but I still had to go to work. I remember that during this month I spent a lot of time with some of the friends I hadn't seen in a long time and it was awesome.
JULY
During this month I traveled to the U.S. with my mom, my sister and a cousin. We went on a shopping spree and we had so much fun!
AUGUST
I started my 5th semester in CESUES.
This is my favorite month and why is it my favorite month? Because I celebrate my birthday on august 22nd. All of my friends came over and I received so many gifts and then we went to a club to party! At first I thought this wasn't gonna be a good month because I had some problems with my boyfriend and I was really sad about it. But thankfully the problems got solved and I was really happy again.
SEPTEMBER
I threw a big party during this month. It was so much fun! A lot of people and close friends came over and there was music and everyone had a fantastic time! I love parties!
OCTOBER
During this month I got involved in helping on the promotion of the 3rd International Business Congress: "to a world without limits". I traveled to Guaymas, Sonora to do some promotion and I visited some schools and colleges. I had a good time, everyone was really interested and promised to come and attend the congress.
NOVEMBER
I quit my job because I was looking around for companies where I could start with my professional practice. After a week of looking I got the best offer I could have asked for, they offered me to work at this international company to do my professional practice. So right now, I’m working at the customs area of this company and I absolutely love it!
They also offered me a job once I finish my practice. This is such an important company and I was really excited.
DECEMBER
I hope this can be a great month; actually I've always loved December because of the holidays. I love it because I get to spend time with my family which is always nice. Besides, you also get to set more goals for yourself to accomplish in the next year.

opinion of the US elections 2008

Barack Obama was elected the nation's first black president Tuesday night in a historic triumph that overcame racial barriers as old as America itself.
Mr. Obama won the election because he saw what is wrong with this country: the utter failure of government to protect its citizens. He promised to lead a government that does not try to solve every problem but will do those things beyond the power of individual citizens: to regulate the economy fairly, keep the air clean and the food safe, ensure that sick have access to health care, and educate children to complete in a globalized world.

SKIM

This story stars with Mr. oliver Ring, an american man, notice a great oportunity of opening a business at Wrykyn in England.
The area was perfect, because they had potencial customers surrounding the business. The place would offer anything & everything you wanted at the lowest price.
When they finally opened Mr. Ring's business, everyone visited the place and they all seemed to really like it. They liked it so much that they left the place the always used to visit, wich was Cook's.
Dunstable wanted all the customers to come back to Cook's, simply because they should support home industries and be patriotic, instead of supporting an american business.
Dunstable's friend, Linton, who was a chemist, had this laboratory where he was testing some stuff with Sal Ammoniac, which was poisonous. Dunstable noticed this and came up with an idea. He invited some of his friends to go eat at Ring's and they all enjoyed the food and tea. What the friends didn't know was that the food was poisoned.
After taht, they all felt bad & ill. Dunstable went to see a doctor, claiming he didn't over-eat, and that what made him feel sick was the food he ate at the new american restaurant.
Dunstable wasn't the only one who felt sick, some others felt sick too and went to the doctor and they all claimed to have eaten an Ring's.
The doctor had a talk with the headmaster and told him about Ring's food and they put the business out of bounds immediatly.
What they didn't know is, it was all part of Dunstable's plan to destroy the american business, so that all the customers would come back to Cook's, and it worked.

the adventures of Huckleberry Finn

Huckleberry Finn is the main character. Huck's companion Jim, a runaway slave, provides friendship and protection while the two journey along the Mississippi on their raft.
The novel opens with Huck telling his story. Briefly, he describes what he has experienced since, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, which preceded this novel.
Soon thereafter, Huck realizes Pap, who Huck hasn't seen in a very long time, has returned to claim the money Huck found, and he quickly runs to Judge Thatcher to "sell" his share of the money for a "consideration" of a dollar. Pap catches Huck after leaving Judge Thatcher, forces him to hand over the dollar, and threatens to beat Huck if he ever goes to school again.
Pap steals Huck away from the Widow's house and takes him to a log cabin. He saws his way out of the log cabin, kills a pig, spreads the blood as if it were his own, takes a canoe, and floats downstream to Jackson's Island. Once there, he sets up camp and hides out.
Jim, along with the rest of the townspeople, thought Huck was dead and is frightened upon seeing him. Soon, the two share their escape stories and are happy to have a companion.
While Huck and Jim live on the island, the river rises significantly. At one point, an entire house floats past them as they stand near the shore. Huck and Jim climb aboard to see what they can salvage and find a dead man lying in the corner of the house. Jim goes over to inspect the body and realizes it is Pap, Huck's father. Jim keeps this information a secret.
Soon afterwards, Huck returns to the town disguised as a girl in order to gather some news. Upon hearing her suspicions, Huck immediately returns to Jim and together they flee the island to avoid discovery.
As Jim and Huck continue floating downstream, they become close friends. Their goal is to reach Cairo, where they can take a steamship up the Ohio River and into the free states. However, during a dense fog, with Huck in the canoe and Jim in the raft, they are separated. When they find each other in the morning, it soon becomes clear that in the midst of the fog, they passed Cairo.
Further downstream, Huck rescues two humbugs known as the Duke and the King. Immediately, the two men take control of the raft and start to travel downstream, making money by cheating people in the various towns along the river.
Farther down the river, the King and Duke sell Jim into slavery, claiming he is a runaway slave from New Orleans. Huck decides to rescue Jim, and daringly walks up to the house where Jim is being kept. Luckily, the house is owned by none other than Tom Sawyer's Aunt Sally. Huck immediately pretends to be Tom. When the real Tom arrives, he pretends to be his younger brother, Sid Sawyer. Together, he and Huck contrive a plan to help Jim escape from his "prison," an outdoor shed. Tom, always the troublemaker, also makes Jim's life difficult by putting snakes and spiders into his room.
After a great deal of planning, the boys convince the town that a group of thieves is planning to steal Jim. That night, they collect Jim and start to run away. The local farmers follow them, shooting as they run after them. Huck, Jim, and Tom manage to escape, but Tom is shot in the leg. Huck returns to town to fetch a doctor, whom he sends to Tom and Jim's hiding place. The doctor returns with Tom on a stretcher and Jim in chains. Jim is treated badly until the doctor describes how Jim helped him take care of the boy. When Tom awakens, he demands that they let Jim go free.
At this point, Aunt Polly appears, having traveled all the way down the river. She realized something was very wrong after her sister wrote to her that both Tom and Sid had arrived. Aunt Polly tells them that Jim is indeed a free man, because the Widow had passed away and freed him in her will. Huck and Tom give Jim forty dollars for being such a good prisoner and letting them free him, while in fact he had been free for quite some time.
After this revelation, Jim tells Huck to stop worrying about his Pap and reveals that the dead man in the floating house was in fact Huck's father. Aunt Sally offers to adopt Huck, but he refuses on the grounds that he had tried that sort of lifestyle once before, and it didn't suit him. Huck concludes the novel stating he would never have undertaken the task of writing out his story in a book, had he known it would take so long to complete.

my last 10 years.. & what i'll be at the age of 80 years old(:

I think when I’m 80 my life will be totally happy, with my whole family there with me. I'll be able to read to my grandchildren and play with them. I'll be very happy because everything is going to be just like I wanted. Also, I will be able to tell all the travels I did throughout the world. I won’t work at my business anymore, but my grandchildren will take the reins of all the business. I'll live with my husband in a big "Hacienda" surrounded by a lot of happiness while we're enjoying the nature. We willeat fruits, pasta, meat and a lot of desserts together under a tree in a large table. I won’t beable to run, but the children will play around the garden and the young ones will be riding horses. In the evening, I’ll leave for a walk with my husband to see the sunset next to him.

In the past 10 years, i've been able to learn to listen because 10 years ago i used to be a little self-centered and i didnt really listen to other people. I have been able to make a lot of new projects for my life but even i havent been able to find the exact way to continue. I have not been able to buy a car yet, but i've been able to buy a new a computer & a cellphone. I learned so many things and also, I have grown as a person. I have been able to reach many of my goals such as graduating highschool and be studying my career in college, having a decent job and also, being able to buy my own things.

CONFESSIONS OF A BROKEN HEART (song)

Analysis per paragraph:

Paragraph 1
I wait for the postman to bring me a letter.
And I wait for the good Lord to make me feel better.
And I carry the weight of the world on my shoulders.
Family in crisis that only grows older.

THIS PARAGRAPH TALKS ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITY SHE FEELS SHE HAS, AS WELL AS THE HOPE AND FAITH.

Paragraph 2
Why'd you have to go?
Why'd you have to go?
Why'd you have to go?

THIS PARAGRAPH TALKS ABOUT HOW SHE DOES NOT UNDERSTAND WHY HER FATHER HAS TO LEAVE HER

Paragraph 3
Daughter to father, daughter to father!
I am broken, but I am hoping.
Daughter to father, daughter to father!
I am crying, a part of me's dying.
And these are, these are, the
confessions of a broken heart!

THIS PARAGRAPH TALKS ABOUT WHAT HER WANTING TO TELL HER FATHER THAT ITS HURTS BUT SHE IS STILL HOPEFUL THAT EVERYTHING WILL BE BETTER, AND ALSO THAT SHE FEELS LIKE SHE IS DYING INSIDE, BUT SHE WILL STAY STRONG JUST FOR HIM

Paragraph 4
And I wear all your old clothes you polo sweater.
I dream of another you, one who would never.
Never, leave me alone to pick up the pieces.
Daddy to hold me, that's what I needed.

THIS PARAGRAPH TALKS ABOUT WHAT SHE NEEDS OR WANTS HER FATHER TO BE, OR WHAT SHE EXPECTS HIM TO BE.

Paragraph 5
So,why'd you have to go?
Why'd you have to go?
Why'd you have to go?

(SAME AS PARAGRAPH 2)

Paragraph 6
Daughter to father, daughter to father!
I don't know you, but I still want to.
Daughter to father, daughter to father!
Tell me the truth, did you ever love me?
Cause these are, these are,
the confessions....!!! of a broken heart!
Of a broken heart!

ON THIS PARAGRAPH SHE SAYS SHE FEELS LIKE SHE DOESN’T KNOW HER FATHER BUT EVEN SO, SHE STILL LOVES HIM, AND REALLY WANTS TO KNOW IF HE LOVES HER, EVEN IF THERE’S EVIDENCE OF THE CONTRARY IN THEIR EYES.

Paragraph 7
I love you.
I love you.
I love you.
I ... I ... I ...
I love you!
Daughter to father, daughter to father!
I don't know you, but I still want to.
Daughter to father, daughter to father!
Tell me the truth, did you ever love me?
Did you ever love me?
These are the confessions of a broken heart!
Ohh ... yeah
And I wait for the postman to bring me a letter.

(SAME AS PARAGRAPH 6)

Overall analysis:
The song is a dramatic piano-based ballad detailing her emotional response to the father-daughter estrangement. Among the lyric lines are "Daughter to father / I don't know you, but I still want to."
The video reportedly includes re-enactments of arguments between her parents. "A lot of people go through family issues, abuse and that kind of thing. I think it's important to show that other people go through it."
"she hopes he'll see what she says in the song is, 'I love you,' so many times, that she needs him and the crazy things in her life. she hope he sees the positive side of the song rather than the negative. The song is kind of offensive, but it is very raw. He's her father. She needs someone to walk her down the aisle when she gets married."

What would I do in that situation?
I think i would try to talk to my dad. But while I was analyzing the song, it seems like he’s never around, and I can tell that she tries to do stuff so her dad can love her. But I think I would do the same as her and try to express how I feel or to find a way so he can listen to me and hopefully make him realize that whatever he does, I’ll still love him because he is my dad.

Tricks and treats: Zoos go all out for Halloween (notice)

Hay mazes, pumpkin paths and haunted train rides too.
And there will be lots of candy, of course.
Zoos big and small are finding that Halloween events are among their most popular draws, because many parents see the parties as a safer alternative to knocking on the doors of strangers. And there aren't a lot of other Halloween activities for the stroller crowd.
"For some, our event has replaced the traditional trick-or-treating around the neighborhood," said Sarah Burnette, spokeswoman for the Audubon Zoo in New Orleans.
There's Spooky Seas on Halloween night at the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago, Night of the Living Zoo at Sedgwick County Zoo in Wichita, Kansas, and Creep in the Deep at Adventure Aquarium in Camden, New Jersey.
Most offer more fun and less fright.
There are hayrides at the Bronx Zoo in New York, a candy forest in Atlanta and magic shows in Cleveland.
"There's no blood and guts," said Cleveland MetroParks Zoo spokeswoman Sue Allen. "Nothing that's meant to be intentionally scary."
Just to be sure, the zoo brought in a child psychologist a few years ago to make certain its displays were kid-friendly.
Cleveland's Boo at the Zoo has become so popular that most of its eight nights sell out.

Harry Potter and the Order of t he Phoenix

I like this movie, more than the others, because in Harry Potter and the Order of t he Phoenix doesn't repeat the tired and overused idea that the (always new) Defense against the Dark Arts professor is a villainous stooge of Lord Voldemort. This year's prof, Dolores Umbridge, is just a lackey in the pocket of Minister of Magic Cornelius Fudge, with her own aspirations to boot Hogwarts' Headmaster Albus Dumbledore, out of his position as headmaster of Hogwart's. Also repeated, ad nauseam, is that no one in the wizard world, apparently, believes Harry's story of the return and his battle with Lord Voldemort, despite the death of a classmate. Well, some of the kidlets believe, which means that Harry and his loyal posse, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley, rally other students to train in secret, preparing for the next return of Voldemort. They name themselves a new "Dumbledore's Army" (which apparently fought the good fight 14 years before) and are taught by the only person with the chops and personol experience to do so. That, of course, is Harry.

The best and the worst moment in life

Well, i’ll start writing about the best moment of my life. I have had a lot of great moments, but there’s one that has been the best so far and that was visiting Disneyland with my family. I was 17 years old at the time and it was the best family trip that I’ve had. Disneyland isn’t boring at all, we had so much fun. I can’t wait to go back. I hope I can visit Disneyland again, but this time, along with my best friends.

And the worst moment of my life was probably when my cousin lost her baby. She had a miscarriage and she suffered so much. She’s like a sister to me so it hurt me just as much as it hurt her because i lost my little nephew. The worst part was that she was going through a very hard time and I didnt know how to help her.
